Summer Light, Port of Ness Harbour
Ness, Isle of Lewis
acrylic on board, 24″ × 20″
sold

This painting was inspired by childhood Summers spent in the area over many years.  Port of Ness is a fishing village in the most northerly part of Lewis.  The light is golden and the harbour seen from this angle creates an interesting and strong composition.  Boats lie in the harbour after a busy day’s fishing.
